Children's Cooking Classes
Baltimore's original cooking classes for kids since 2001
Since 2001, ChefNancy Longo has been teaching cooking classes for children around the Baltimore area as well as children from out of state.  Giving them a fully hands on cooking class in many subjects as well as allowing them to cook meals to take home to their parents, also allowing them to see what we have done for the day. All classes are or children and teens between the ages of 10-17.  
Summer classes are from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm daily, unless otherwise specified.
We supply recipes, aprons, beverages, lunch, and take home food.  We also offer some summer day long classes as well as programs through Roland Park Country School as part of the Kaleidoscope program.  Please feel free to give us a call to discuss what we can do for your budding young chef!  Classes are limited to 10 per day, so we ask you to sign up quick before spirngtime as they fill up quickly!

2019 Summer Session

Each week we do 4 classes Monday thru Thursday from 9:30 - 2:30 daily
Cost is $350 per week and includes: aprons and recipes to take home, as well as lunch and food for take home from what we do daily; approx. 10 recipes daily.
 
 
DECEMBER 2018 update .....  please call us at 410 675-2080 to sign your child up and have the sign up papers sent to your home. If you call and sign up before March 30th 2019, we'll add a chef jacket to your sign up at no additional charge, and after March 30th the price is $ 25 for the jacket ...

American Cuisine - learn to make home-made mashed potatoes, meatloaf, ice cream sandwiches, home-made potato chips, cheesecake, home-made brownies, and mouthwatering watermelon sorbet
Desserts - learn how to make ice cream, tarts, cake icing, cookies, and more
Appetizers 2 - we will learn how to make shirmp firecrackers, bruschettas, broccoli cheese balls, mozzarella sticks, empanadas, beef satays, crispy lemon chicken mini sliders, french fries, and chicken wings
Italian Cuisine - learn how to make risotto, gelato, frozen ice, Italian wedding soup with meatballs, cannolis, pizza, calzones, tomato and mozzarella salad, and Italian salad dressings



 

BBQ - learn to make BBQ sauces from all over the world and how to smoke and marinate meats as well as how to make home-made biscuits
Chicken - an entire class on chicken cooking including how to bone a chicken, Tuscan roast marinade, chicken parmesan, chicken dumplings, paella with chicken, crispy chicken fingers, and even make some BBQ sauce
French with desserts - learn classic techniques as well as specific dishes such as Coq au Vin, potatoes au gratin, apple tartin, potato leek soup, green bean almondine, chocolate mousse, and St Jacques cheese sauce for chicken and scallops
Asian Dim Sum - make dumplings, eggrolls, springrolls, satays, cooked sushi, shrimp toast, and other dishes

Single Classes for Kids Summer Cooking Camp 2019
daily from 10 am to 2 pm, $75.00 per day

Please Note:  Individual Classes will not occur this year (2019)
as we have added another complete session to our schedule

***** Please note we have to have at least 6 kids to be present for each class. 
We will notify you if they don't fill up and you have already signed up.  
These classes are great for one day lessons, as well as a great idea for some
friends who might want to get together for a day.  
We will cook food, make lunch, and bring home food like all of our week long classes ....
American Class
We will teach you how to make home-made mashed potatoes, meatloaf, ice cream sandwiches, hand-made potato chips, cheese cake, home-made brownies, and mouth watering watermelon sorbet!

Soup Class
In this soup class, we do not make our normal soups from the weekly scheduled classes.  In this particular class we will cover cream of crab, gazpacho, cream of mushroom, bacon baked potato, egg drop, and lemongrass soup.  We will also make home-made fried chicken to enjoy here AND take some home for you, Mom and/or Dad!

Italian Class
We will teach how to make risotto, gelato, frozen ice, Italian wedding soup with meatballs, cannolis, pizza, calzones, tomato and mozzarella salad, and Italian salad dressings!

Friday, August 10th, 2018
Chicken Class
This will be an entire class on chicken cooking, including how to bone a chicken, Tuscan roast marinade, chicken parmesan, chicken dumplings, paella with chicken, crispy chicken fingers, and even make some BBQ sauce

French Class
We will teach classic techniques as well as specific dishes such as coq au vin, potatoes au gratin, apple tartin, potato leek soup, green beans almondine, chocolate mousse, and St Jacques cheese sauce for chicken or scallops!
